Wine Appreciation!
Have you
tasted different types of wines before? Wine For Asia 2004
brought us to the hottest wine spots in Singapore…
On 6
November 2004, 31 deaf participants were treated to a wine appreciation
workshop at Singapore Expo, sponsored by Singex Exhibition Pte Ltd.

During the tour, we attended the showcase
at the Great Wine for Asia Chef Challenge 2004: Vineyard
Cuisines. The Culinary Consultant and Cookbook author
demonstrated the balance in food and wine pairing. They gave us
some culinary tips and taught us how to
appreciate wine.
Next, we
visited the wine stalls and were offered
different types of wine to taste. The participants bought a few
bottles of wine for themselves too. They
also took the chane to go to the wine-tasting area where they could taste more
than 50 bottles of wines! Later, some red faces could be
seen among the participants. Throughout this wine fair, they
learnt to appreciate wine and had a good time interacting with
the other participants.
It was a
fruitful evening for everyone. SRCD would like to thank Singex
