For the first time, in 1996, SRCDeaf sent a national team to participate in the Asia Pacific Games for the Deaf in Kuala Lumpur, giving our Deaf sportsmen and sportswomen greater exposure in regional competitions. The team took part in the track & field, badminton and football tournaments. Since then, SRCDeaf representatives have participated in the World Bowling Championship for the Deaf held in Taipei; our Dart Team played in the Division One League of the 1996 Dart Association Tournament. Our deaf netball team and volleyball team participated in the SKOP Tournament in Malaysia in the 1990s.
